RE: DRM troubles drive ex-Microsoft employee to Linux
Story about nothing. Who is this guy and what makes him so special to get a whole article written about him? He's a nobody who made the same threats like others. Will he move to linux? Nope. Make blank threats? Yep! I stopped believing that lie a long time ago about "moving to linux." Its just an idle threat that fanboys make but never go through with it. This guy is no different. He said he is contemplating on liuxmce which pretty much means he's not going to use it.

Linux has nothing to offer over Windows. I know it, he knows it, and you know it. Windows MCE provides a straight out of the box experience you can't get with linux. With linuxmce you need to download the source, drivers, codecs, and compile, then install. Thats hours upon hours of work just to watch a dvd. That is straight out crazy. So to rid yourselves completely of linux there are two options. First option is to install Windows MCE which will take an hour at the most and play your dvd and everyone is happy. The second option is to just buy a dvd player which has no set up at all except plugging in a few cables. That's five minutes tops, and you'll be watching your dvds and not have to worry about this so called drm that doesn't affect anyone. Every dvd I played worked fine in my computer and my dvd player.

This guy is just whining over nothing. Its no surprise that Microsoft got rid of him, he is delusional as well as uncertain about his choices and no company would take that risk. Good riddance.
