SP1 Too little to late
SP1 is a bit damn late. There's too much "release now and fix it later" software being shipped these days.

First it was games, now its Windows.

Vista is a major downgrade in performance. Migration will be unaffected by the Service Pack, since it will be three years or more before most large organisations have hardware that is both minimum spec for Vista and "new" enough to be blessed with drivers.

Two weeks into my most recent attempt to "live with Vista" I have found it stable, but appallingly slow. Plus my scanner and webcam are unsupported and my SATA2 drives have a transfer rate little better than USB 1.0.

I was hoping a Service Pack would be out by September, but looks like I will have to reinstall back to XP for a working OS.
