As pointed out by many before and as will be quoted by many to come, Windows 95 was a watershed event that brought computing to the masses. Prior to that, home ownership of computers was pretty much limited to those who were familiar with computers or who were techies. Windows 95 brought computing to Mom and Pop. Comparatively speaking, 2007 and 1996 are decades apart in the computing world and I doubt that any OS, Mac, WIndows, Linux or any other, will ever bring the excitement that Windwos 95 brought to the common person.
