You could consider that Jeremy was talking about software in general, not necessarily PC software. To add to that, you have to consider whatever circles you have experience of, and factor that into it all.

You'd most likely not have anywhere a comprehensive overall view of what is actually happening, so to say you don't believe it is kind of like not seeing the forest because of the trees.
