Might I point out that it is you who fealt ...
... compelled to attack me on a Vista story and not the other way arround. Your posts have been belittling and antagonistic hence the deep seated resentment comment. Now for your point by point.

"Inane, uninformed comments actually bother me at times, something at which you've become quite proficient."

Please point out what was uninformed. Did you not say I was stating the obvious? Wouldn't that make it an informed opinion?

"If you could (would read) my post, the reason for that situation is the virtual MS "monopoly" lock on the desktop, whether at home or office. At this point, quality has little to do with it, good or bad."

How does that refute what I said? Did I make any claim as to the quality of Vista? I merely said the steam roller was coming. Can you read? More importantly do you comprehend what you read?

"These comments are in the past and were factual (really, still are until it actually ships) so no sour grapes, just facts with the situation at the time and as it now stands."

Really so when of the ABMers says it will not ship till 2010, that is real? When they call it vapor ware and I am running it on a machine that is real? Who says Beta's don't count?

"va?por?ware n
new software that has been announced or advertised but has not yet been, and may never be, produced"

Again the fact that I am running Beta versions does not count as software that has been produced? Who died and made you the arbitrator of what that means?

" just use a Mac (web development with no connection to Apple and no monetary reward from Apple/Mac sales) and find it fulfills all my computing needs, as I believe it would many "average" users. I usually interject/post to rebut asinine, mis- or un-informed comments, "mythical facts" and/or mindless Apple/Mac bashing posts. You know, your typical contribution."

Just what was it I said that was asinine mis- or uninformed about what I said? It certainly wasn't Apple/Mac bashing so why did you feel the need to post?

"I'm glad to see you paid attention to the "I'm a PC, I'm a Mac" TV ads. And like the ad, you got it wrong too!!! Are you actually the PC guy???

Unless you're acknowledging that I "made a strong hit" or "made an especially witty, penetrating, or cogent remark, usually in retaliation". In that case, thank you"

Touche is a fencing term when someone strikes an opponent in a scoring place. It does not acknowledge the opponent did anything so your definition is plain wrong.

"Thus you troll many threads and post many times to support your cause (and employer). I just cruise and view threads (and post) per topic interest but only as time allows. I don't hover over the keyboard waiting to jump on any "contrary" post like some seem to do. (hint: check any reflective surface)"

And yet you have replied three times on this very thread. Aren't we being just a little disingenuous.

"You MUST work for MS (or someone equally bereft of ethics and reality) to produce so much spin and read so much into my psyche."

Is Microsoft really bereft of ethics and reality? There is not a single person at Microsoft that has ethics or is grounded in reality? How do you know this? Do you know every single person at Microsoft? How do you come up with so much spin and read so much into their psyche?

There is your point by point. May I suggest if you don't like what I say then don't reply. Otherwise your liable to hear more of it.

Touche!
