In the Enterprise I work in, they upgraded all of the Dell OptiPlex workstations GX Series to 768meg of ram and all of the Dell Latitude laptops have about the same amount of memory. Looking at the Dell website to have 1 gig of memory on the new OptiPlex line it is only $60, so I would assume this will not be a big deal. I use Fedora Core 5 on both of my machines.
