Just a few comments, Anton.
I wouldn't say ZDNet has ever been wildly "cheerleading for all things Linux." ZDNet is all about cheering new technology. They publish articles about hybrid cars as well; does that make them radical enemies of the oil companies?

Also, the author of this article started out by quoting the press releases and talking heads at Novell about their new products, and proceeded to bring in comments from others, including their competitors. I failed to notice any "enthusiastic comments" that can be credited to the author. Maybe you better reread the article, Anton, actually, it's pretty good journalism.

OpenOffice is on the upswing, in case you hadn't noticed. So maybe it means the obnoxious licensing and pricing of MS Office, added to its ongoing and recent security holes, are becoming unacceptable.

I will agree with you, and some of the other posters, about the abysmal Novell marketing, and the fact that it could make or break SuSE. Time will tell; just like the analysts are reserved, so am I.
