It appears to be an engine...
not an application or even a technology. This engine makes it easy to build p2p applications. The "ooh ahh" of the engine might not be high but if it means that when people create collaboration applications, they can spend more time on the features and less time on the boring "plumbing". While the engine itself might not be "ooh ahh", hopefully some of the applications build with it will!

Look at DirectX (or even OpenGL). People were doing 3D graphics long before either library came out but by using the libraries, developers could spend their time building features, not linear algebra routines or a different implementation for each model of graphics card. Neither library is "ooh ahh" but some of the apps sure are!
