"Solaris hardware" is not just Sun hardware anymore.
Now that Solaris has been freed, it has ceased to be a sales point for Sun.

Sun paid $100 million in revenue per year to improve the performance of other companies' hardware. And to assure that anyone using Sun hardware could switch to another manufacturer with less inconvenience.

Sun is apparently becoming embarrassed at the thought of selling products.
