The bigger problem for Microsoft ...
... is that they need to release a new OS in order to generate revenues to offset what they are spending to keep existing XP installations secure. The longer they sell XP, the fewer people there will be out there to upgrade to new PCs in order to get additional functionality from animproved OS.
