The only people that seem to be getting yardage from this are the people who make money writing about it.

You could almost hear the yawns in the OEM responses. You would think that the PC makers would have evolved beyond putting their eggs in a OS release basket - and there seems to be "zero buzz" on the street at the consumer level.

Most of the folks who will buy this holiday season can't even tell you what the **current** OS's flavor of WinDoze is.
