- Novell hopes its next desktop will leapfrog Windows

Keep hoping because its not going to happen. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to get this, and Novell themselves don't say why people should use this product. It offers no advantages to what people have now. If Novell thinks people are going to switch from Windows to SLED they are in for a big surprise. This is most definitely not the "Windows killer" they said Suse 10 was going to be. I'm still waiting for that day to come.
Animated GUI? Isn't that part of the reason people supposedly "switched" to linux? So they don't have to deal with a "fisher price" desktop? Here they are making a toy OS.
