useless software
Whats the "useless software?" The one that the majority of business (and other) applications run on? IF the open source world were not full of pitfals then everyone would be flocking to it. How come all the cost studies seem to point to the fact that going Linux/Unix does not offer the cost reduction verses paying for an operating system? Is this becouse the cost savings is lost in the cost of having to re-invent the (legacy application)wheel? StarOffice may have a free version, but if I really want it to do anything do I have to pay for it?

Microsoft may not be perfect (neither is the world) but if I want to target the majority of the market place - well, guess what.
