No, I'm not talking about QT, which is an annoyance, and you pretty much made my point. FCP IS a $1000 program. This isn't like your hp printer drivers or a bundled CD burn package. This is like upgrading Windows and Office doesn't work, unless you upgrade it.

Oh yeah, my source is a little site called Apple.com. It's in the user forums, and there was pretty much a consensus. Of course, with many of these revealing posts from Apple's forums you really need the wayback machine, or look at cached versions id you are a-googlin, but yeah, it's so crazy think I'm mistaken. Trust me friends, I have about a thousand reasons why I wish I was mistaken. Also, it was really elegant and intuitive of Apple not to warn users of their flagship video suite that this would happen. Oh and because they are so cool, they didn't really bother to make sure the backout function was working so if you decide to go back to 10.3.9, you will find that either you had backups of all you critical files, or you have just learned why backing up is important. This little tidbit also came up repeatedly on Apple's user forums. I believe Mr. Jackson would say, "that's some repugnant sh&t"
