Just a collection of new lock-in technology, not much exciting in Lonhorn.
We will see if anybody bites. It looks like few will use the lock-in apis and protocols for web applications since the adoption curve for Longhorn will be so slow. They will have to force the back port to be installed on XP by wrapping it with security updates if they want to get any significant deployment on XP.
