Just stating facts guy
No I am not.

Industry has to make the first move. Not the end user. There is a test pilot program to see if it works. Will cost a lot to do.

They never mention older programs. It was loaded at a place I worked a few years ago. It isn't Mechanical Desktop.

AutoCAD is like MS. They have over 80% of the market. It is the production CAD package standard.

But they are not requesting linux that much.

Properly locked down Windows are not a security risk. The Pro package would cost more. In engineering all CAD stations should have port 80 blocked due to the time involved making drawings.

Insight II might be like VariCAD. $300-500 package. No where close to Acad.

Nothing is wrong with it. Well a few things. On equal hardware it isn't as fast. This is a sin in the drafting department. Rendering will be slower. Linux developers will have to sell their solutions to everyone involved. Customer never requests new technology. It must be laid before them to decide on it like any other innovation.
