It should be no secret that Microsoft would prefer you to by the latest OS instead of hanging on to old ones. That is how business works. The car manufacturers would like you to buy a new car instead of hanging on to the old one also. XP product activation is also a smoke screen. The Enterprise and OEM versions do not require it. Once you guys get beyond your irrational hatred of Microsoft you may become productive members of the IT community once again.
