That is funny!
"China is rapidly becoming a major force in developing new technology, posing a significant economic threat to the United States."

"Alternately, the authoritarian country faces key hurdles in its quest to transform into an innovator, including its lack of free speech."

On the other hand free speech country like the USA (although sometimes I wonder if it is really free, because some do "self-censorship" and loss of other liberites - I invite you to Europe for exploration) developed great technologies... together with self-destructing strategies.

Now, some blind fools have underestimated human potential of extremely large populations and forced discipline.

They still don't get it... and keep talking: Democracy! Globalization!... or they get it and this is strategy;)

In order to be a partner you have to offer somethinga and roughly be equal in size and power. It is not enough to be military superpower if you have only few percent of human mind power based on smaller population. Than you focus and specialize. No? See Finnland, Sweden and a few other small population countries.
