It amazes me
It amazes me that people think that more money is the answer. Where I live, the public scholl my kids would attend (if I didn't bite the bullet and send them to private school instead) graduates just a decimal or two over 36% of its students. It also enjoys funding at a rate of almost 4-1 per enrolled child over suburban school districts ajoining it. Tell me that more money is the answer. Tell me that my tax dollars are effective. Tell me that we are teaching reading, writing, arithmatic and science instead of humanism, reletivism, and revisionist history.

I guess I am one of those who votes against you when you want to pay more taxes. I will support a worthy cause and currently support quite a few, but American Public Education is not currently a worthy cause. Too much wasted money and too much propaganda instead of education.
