The US educational system has been shifting, for over a decade, from creating thinkers to teaching corporate skills. Although we have always had vocational schools as an alternative, this shift represents a move to eliminate the liberal arts education that gave us the creative minds that have led the world in innovation.

If this shift continues, and we are now seeing it in K-12, what will America's value proposition be as we move into the 21st century?
