invest in infrastructure
I think US business, government, and taxpayers are too short-sighted to realize you have to invest in your infrastructure to be successful in the long term. We are reaping now the lack of education funding in this country, started by Pres Reagan with the idea all taxes are bad taxes. When we should have been enhancing schools, we cut their funding and told them to do with less. We reap what we sow (or invest in). Locally here my child attends the best high school in the county, in a 100 year old building, and residents loudly screaming No More Taxes for Schools! It also is killing our technical knowledge in this country when business openly tells us that cheaper foreign technical workers will eventually replace US technical workers. Talk about peeing up a hill....
