- in California are ASTRONOMICAL! The cost of living there is out of this world. Why in the world would tech jobs flock to there is a brain buster. I live in a state where the cost of living is medium to low. We have many universities (2 in the NCAA tourney), large world-wide corporations, and PLENTY OF WATER - something that California doesn't. Not only that, we have many unemployed professionals that are educated and can contribute to tech businesses. You can STILL get a decent house around here for 200 grand . . . Relocate to Michigan!
