Growth industries
SO you want to know the future eh? Here are some ideas of future jobs.

1. SOx - Sarbanes/Oxley and human's auditing are a growth industry. As much as you automate, you need to PROVE that it all works to the government - and they require human audits.
2. Security - The world gets more dangerous and people will be MORE willing to pay for security - of ALL kinds.
3. Systems Administration - As much as IBM likes to claim that computers "heal themselves" - the truth is they do not. The "Last job humans will ever have" - looking after computers, will still be a viable career.
4. Education - There is a perenial shortage of "good" teachers, and with the emphasis on education in the future - this is a good place to be.
5. Health care - People are getting older and not enough nurses and doctors will be available for them.
6. Real Estate - Land is a valuable commodity - and there will always be demand.
7. Government - Its always getting bigger! Under BOTH Dems and Repubs.

I can go on all day with this, but here's a nice sample to whet your appetite.
