Clowns like this...

...are the CAUSE of stricter labour laws - not the result of them.
Speaking as an employer I can say for the record that the hours worked by employees are a DIRECT result of the expectations placed on them. Its is MY job to manage my company - and that includes its staff, if I work them into the ground (and lets not even start on the number of studies proving longer hours do not result in higher productivity) its because I havent given them the tools necessary to get the job done swifter and more efficently.

I cant speak for the IT industry but at least for the wider business world this company and its attitude will lead to more regulation, higher discontent and lower productivity than any 6 govt. select committees could have accomplished in a decade.
