First you argue that open source is not producing any change in the popularity of Office:

As much as I like Open Office, I do not see MS suffering. Where are their layoffs in this divission?

Then you say:
You need to get a clue and get ready for the brave new world. It is different every day than it used to be.

In this context, your statement appears to mean, get ready for Open Office to displace Office, producing change, including layoffs throughout the Office ecosystem. Not everyone whose job depends on Office works for Microsoft.


You're arguing that the best result for those working on/with proprietary software is the complete failure of open source to displace it. How could I disagree with that?
