I was a lease lizard once and what you say is so true
Well said.
Lack of preparation on your part does not constitute and emergency on mine.
I can only imagine what "coders" and "IT" folks go through and have gone through.

When I was a truck driver I was under the gun to deliver on time. I had no problems with the "concept" although early on in my career it cost me a marriage, family, my health and I went bankrupt too (what does that tell you). I wish I had taken the same attitude of family back then. Greed on my part. The happiest I was as a driver was when I worked for a fellow that truly believed in home time and realistic schedules. I was rested and more productive and made more money than I could have imagined as a lease lizard.

Now that I sign the paychecks I have learned the imporatnce of treating employees with respect and setting realistic goals. I may be a little fish but on scale I am just as big as the mega comapanies. I will say without hesitation that ANY company that has an overtime rate of 60, 70, and 80 hrs a week there is something seriously wrong in the upper management area. I often rail against those that spout the greedy corporation junk but in this case, greed is part of the problem. Even I cannot deny that.
