- Who does the ITAA represent anyway?
- I have been in IT for over 15 years and I am not a member of the ITAA. Just exactly what set of lawyers are they representing? They certainly do not represent technology interests. Honestly, I don't think that we can fight this. This is yet another area America will let go of to make some quick profits. I teach C++ and Java part time and my class was cancelled due to lack of interest. I am surprised it ran as long as it did, frankly. Nobody in college right now can possibly think technology offers a good career future in America. A nice hobby, but not a career. I started out as an engineer (yes, a real one) and came over to computer technology when engineering tanked. I am working on my exit strategy right now. Being in mid-life with the mortgage, kids, etc. thing going on does not make this easy, but I am a realist. Time to reinvent myself again.
