Spin machine in overdrive.....
Gotta hand it to big business - they are just great when it comes to spin. They will make arguments for their point of view no matter the consequences for others. Some examples:

1. Complain about taxes on one hand yet ask government for R&D handouts - High Tech companies.

2. Talk about greedy lawyers to take focus off accountability - HMOs,

3. Claim R&D costs are high when in reality they spend 3 times as much on marketing costs - Pharma industry.

4. Argue for preemption of States attemps to curb identity theft in order to keep easy lending - Banking.

5. Argue for cheap user fees of public lands for grazing, mineral and oil exploration- Agriculture and mining businesses.

6. Argue for lower business taxes effectively shifting burden to workers - while doing all to lower worker wages.

7. Blaming poor educational system in order to import cheaper labor while doing little to train domestic workers.

8. Overrepresentation of business interests to the trade-negotiating arm of the government without regard for broad segments of the US economy (i.e. workers) - eg software, hollywood, music, aircraft industries. Result has put the US in great debt to foreign creditors and dependent on foreign production of goods.

List goes on and on. Sooner or later this house of cards (the US economy) will come falling down - let's not forget who has commandeered government.
