The president of the IT Association of America, a group that claims to represent the IT world, proclaims that "his group would "strongly oppose" requirements that non H-1B-dependent employers have to attest that they will not displace a U.S. worker or that they have first sought to hire an American worker."
Who is watching out for the IT workers in America? It is a lie that we are not as skilled as workers from other countries. It is a lie that we are not as hard working as workers from other countries.
The truth of the matter is that it costs more to employ US workers. Period point blank.
And isn't it funny that the majority of quotes from this article are from an immigration lawyer (makes tons of money obtaining visas for foreigners) and an IT industry lobbyist (makes lots of money convincing congress whatever the companies that hire him tell him to say).
It's a damn shame y'all.
