Energy and Resource problems

With recent news that global warming is much much
worse than previouly thought (Global Dimming
caused by particulate matter had a much larger
effect at mirroring sunlight back out to space
than previously thought), it's good that more
great minds are focussing on these problems.

One possibility is the completion of development
of biodiesel-making GM algae. If these could be
deployed in vast numbers, and the hydrocarbons
produced pumped into disused mines and into old
oil fields, then carbon dioxide levels should
start to stabilise.

NOTE: Global Dimming itself has already killed
millions so we shouldn't try to rely on it as a
tool against Global Warming.

The sure thing is, if we keep on as we are, there
might not be any human life left in only decades.

My family has three cars, but we're now dropping
down to using one. It isn't going to be easy but
we'll try.

You could also consider a Mac mini instead of a
2.4GHz Intel, because as far as I can tell the
Mac uses a lot less power.
