Robocopters dodge obstacles, each other

Dodging helicopters...: "Last year, BEAR researchers flew two helicopters at each other in a game of chicken. "They flew toward each other, sensed each other and adjusted their course," said a UC Berkeley spokeswoman."

What would hapen if they both adjusted in the same direction? How has this been handled? Do they always dodge in one direction (to the right for example)?
