"No Ax" is woefully uninformed. PV cells generate enough energy to "payback" the energy required to make them 1 to 3 years depending on the type of cell. This is a much shorter "energy payback" period than any of the "conventional" energy sources. They too have large energy requirements to produce them. He is simply wrong.
