Gates foundation to promote synthetic biology

Typical knee-jerk reactions, one and all: Just goes to show you, the ABM crowd has blinders on, even when their precious Linus Torvalds has given how much to the research for getting rid of diseases in third world countries who lack the resources to treat their own?

Guess that holiday spirit has not reached far enough down the food chain to get the ABMers on board and recognize a good thing when it happens.

Of course, nothing good has EVER come from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Yeah, that's the story - and they will stick to it, even in light of the hundreds of millions of dollars donated to health care, health research, literacy, and the list goes on.

And, I bet not one of these folks even bothers to give to a local charity even $100 a year or volunteer a few days to assist with the homeless (Habitat for Humanity), or the local homeless shelter, or any other worthwhile community program. Yet they still ***** about Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation since it is ever so loosely connected to Microsoft.
