Nope...I got the point a few years ago...
The IT field is vanishing. No more are the days of a true "professional" - IT monkeys are the burger flippers of tomorrow. Jobs that paid $75k just four years ago are only about $35-40k now. Most are being sent overseas for only $10-12k a year.
Free up your time for other areas of IT... *LOL* yeah...right.

You are missing the point. Say you have a job today that takes 100 IT people to maintain. In the future you will need only 10 IT people. Where do the other 90 go? The problem is that the needs of IT people are falling as technology becomes more stable and easier to maintain...but people going into the field continues to grow exponentially.

You can only have so many people at the top...only so many programmers...only so many network engineers. Yet all those poor souls who spent years in college to get an IT degree...spending a hundred thousand dollars in education and certification only to find they have a difficult time getting a minimum wage job. Seriously...you are missing the point in a BIG way.
