More money for the Wealthy, CEO's and Politicians
I think that in order to understand Corporate America's stance on offshoring you need go no further than Carly Fiorina's quote - "No American worker has the God-given right to a job". To me, this says it all. The rich are in charge of the White House (King George the II and his gang of fascists aka Bushists financed by Big Oil - any wonder why we are in Iraq?), our representatives in government through lobbying, and as long as they reward their CEO's amply, Corporate America as well. The U.S. government has a long history of working for Corporate America and against the American worker; just do some research on labor movements to see what I am referring to. There appears to be a movement by the wealthy to force the normalization of wage rates worldwide at the lowest possible levels. When enough Americans are out of work, they will be desperate enough to work for minimum wage or less without health benefits and in what might currently be deemed unsafe and unlawful conditions. Walmart Corp. is already at the forefront of this type of employment, although they still need to pay their legal workers minimum wage. When IT workers, accountants, engineers, etc. are willing to spend $40,000 for an education and then earn $10,000 per year and live in squalor, they too can work in the new Corporate America. I have two wishes - George W. Bush as the first U.S. Ambassador to the newly "free" Iraq at the end of his tenure as President, and Carly Fiorina's job offshored to India. Oh wait; let's make her train her replacement before she leaves. I sure hope the door doesn't hit these two in the butt on their way out.
