Providers must address right-to-use concerns
As an IT person, my biggest concern with the "subscription" model is, if the vendor jacks up the price beyond what we think its value is worth, if the right-to-use terminates immediately once the paid subscription is over, that leaves my company utterly at the mercy of the vendor.

In the normal model, if they do this, I can continue to run their working software indefinately while I replace it with a more competitively priced product.

Only for the most unimportant software would I consider the new model if right-to-use terminates immediately.
