Question EVERYTHING
When you look at what our 'great' society has wrought, you must consider the waste. That is what we are creating. We don't have families in our own FAMILIES, let alone across borders. Our 'economy' of buy/work/buy more on credit has created wealth only for the banks and corporations which exist at the behest of our purchases and our work to pay for those meager purchases. Even the most gluttonous SUV-drivin', Alpine/Bose-ownin' software geek doesn't compare to the waste of our insurance companies and government programs which are designed to look innocuous to each person, but on the grand scale take TRILLIONS of dollars of worker productivity and oil and turn it into landfill fodder or weapons to clear a path for the energy corporations which are necessary to support this society-economy of waste.
Life's purpose is to create. The problem is, our first attempts at 'civilization' created the idea that ANY creation or growth is 'good for the economy'. This has led to the idea of 'my economic god is bigger than your economic god', and 'It's the economy, stupid', when in reality, we should be considering each individual's NET creative purpose, and how they have destroyed their own immediate family because of their Blind Faith in systems, economics, religion, and the idea that the one with the most money and the biggest hat knows more than the common worker.
