RE: Human Family?
""Human Family?
Technology has effectively erased bondaries between nations. We are now a global community, and a global economy (even though the "have's" would rather forget about the "have not's"). If there are willing and able workers that can get the job done for less, who are we to deny them their chance out of poverty that would make U.S. poverty seem laughable? Thousands of U.S. jobs lost to save an entire third-world nation's economy seems like an OK trade to me.""

You're missing the point. We're not saving a third world country from anything. Once india becomes to expensive to out-source too, big corporations will just say scr*w that and just keep going to another country that's cheaper.

What's the point? The point is that, those CEO's have already scr*w americans out of those jobs by sending them overseas, what makes you think they are not going to scr*w those countries too?

I've already came up with a better solution to saving corporations and CEO's millions of dollars. Higher more american workers and off-shore the CEO, CFO, etc... positions that cost the company millions of dollar to pay those people and save even more then they would offshoring.

If you're typical CEO is making about $20 million a year, pay some Indian CEO about $4 million to do the same job. Now you're saving $16 million, which could go to jobs in the US. In fact, about $10 million of the $16 million could go to hire 200 people at 50K a year. Which is turn will make a company more productive and they still are saving $6 million dollars.

The point is, there's way too much greed out there, that offshoring just puts a bigger squeeze on the average joe to make a decent living. What if you offshore all these jobs overseas? Who in this country will be left able to afford to buy these products these companies produce?

Do you want to talk about saving One 3rd world country think again. The US imports 10 times more then it exports. At one point in time, we were exporting 10 times as much as we imported and other 3rd world countries were not any better off then they are now.

The fault here is other countries, not ours. We didn't become the most successful country in the world because we had 3rd world countries help us build this country. We did all this ourselves, so other countries need to learn how to do that on their own.

These countries did, England, South Vietnam, Australia and many more. I don't feel sorry for any other country that doesn't want to improve itself on it's own to only ask for a bit of assistance as opposed to having us do everything hand and foot for them.
