For the record... The US was NOT alone in thinking that Sodom* had WMD's. In fact, MOST of the world did. The "almighty" UN, in it's "infinite" wisdom even coughed up a resolution prior to the war telling ol' Sodom he had to get rid of them and play nice.

If it was so obvious that it was "BS" as you put it, you should be working for the CIA or Interpol or better still, working for the Psychic Friend's Network...

As for the 1000 troops that were lost in Iraq over the past year... On Sept 11th, 2001, over 3000 people died on ONE day. WHERE is YOUR outrage over that..?

And yes, Virginia... There IS proof that Al Qaeda had ties with Sodom and his regime. At least ONE of the 9/11 hijackers met with Iraqi military intelligence prior to arriving in the US. It's been documented 8 ways till next Tuesday.
