mail.com
You could be thinking of mail.com. They've long had, and still have, a rather long list of domain names to choose from. Unfortunately, the company was sold a time or two (at least) over the years and the service has become crappier and crappier until it's really not even worth using anymore, unless one really likes a domain name they offer enough to be worth using one of the most worthless services on the planet just for a domain name. I used to have several mail.com addresses which I had set to autoforward to my main email address (at a different service). But they discontinued forwarding for free accounts, the spam there has grown to ridiculous proportions, and with popups in the web interface and a myriad of other problems, I now only keep one of my old addresses there open on the off chance an old correspondent may try to reach me there.[/OT]
