Declan McCullagh makes the statement regarding those" who
fear that jobs will be lost to more efficient workers south of the
border" without offering any evidence whatsoever that workers
are more efficient south of the border. This is rote repetition of
self-serving corporate propoganda, not journalism.

In fact, there is growing evidence that off-shore workers are less
efficient due to language problems, time differences, and as
well as other associated problems mentioned in the article. The
purpose of moving jobs off-shore has NOTHING to do with
customer efficiency or better job performance and everything to
do with reducing labor cost (wages paid to workers to support
their families and communities) to create more profit for the
corporation.

If we want to introduce more efficiency, let's take a look at
cutting all that fat out of CEO salaries, especially in the USA--the
most bloated compensation in the world.
