Splitting a hair...
Read the article and the posts and it appears many don't understand the difference between a consultant and a contract laborer. A consultant is someone that gives consultation on a given issue or group of issues. A contracted laborer is someone hired to perform specific tasks or labor. (Yes even highly paid coders and engineers are laborers.)

Far to often people hire one when they really need the other, or worse, make the mistake of thinking they are one in the same. I know some great coders and engineers, but they are NOT business consultants by any stretch of the imagination. It is a completely different skill set and in most cases a completely different mind set.
