Nice idea, but in our lifetime?
I have the "privilege" of working at home once a week. I had to fight to get that. There is not a single person I work with that would not want to do it full time.

As the work force gets older and their needs change, many of us would be willing and able to work for less money and less hours, but YOU try to find where THOSE jobs are advertised. It doesn't exist. While article after article comes out lauding the benefits of such a life, it is abundantly clear that no one in charge is reading these articles. Don't forget - these are the same people who push jobs off shore as fast as they can and leave the few that are left behind with those 50-60 hour weeks that are truly the norm for many.

In a system where capitalism has gone awry in a big way, it is unlikely that more humanistic measures will ever take hold. Sorry to say.
