Got your feelings hurt
You need to go back to school, with all the assumptions you made. Yes, im already a CIO, the statements I made are from experience. My statement was about doing a study on the most effective CIO's, the ones with IT vs Non-IT. A CIO needs the ability to make strategic descisions that will incorportate technolgies and methodologies for at least 5 years. A CIO that has no technical knowlodge and is totally reliant upon other peoples opinions will have difficulty making strategic decisiions. You make assumptions about college degree proves that a person can learn new and different things, wrong again, like most certifications..(boot camps) it proves that the person can pass a test, not necessarily learn or apply what they have may have learned. I'm glad you got your MBA, maybe you can succeed further than you have, and with that I wish you luck.

Just for kicks get together with some CIO's at a convention, there will always be 2 groups, the ones with technical experience asking questions and gathering information and the ones that don't that just sit quietly and try to pick up whatever information they can.

Phrase for Today:It's a JOB, don't take it personal
