Make what happen?
Because Sun insisted that Microsoft use only an obsolete version of the JVM, Java wasn't widely used for many purposes, and now most users have minimal need for Java on their pc's.
Very foolish decision by Sun.

Microsoft decided to stop offering any Java at all on Windows, and Sun took Microsoft to Court in the US. A Judge issued a preliminary injunction, which is almost never done, ordering Microsoft to include Java.

Reason?

.Net was being issued, and the Judge stated his belief that unless Java was in every copy of Windows, all those millions of developers would forget Java forever and move entirely and permanently to .Net.

The Appeals Court over-ruled this decision.

Strange to think the Judge was right, as Java slowly fades away into a minor part of IBM's software stable.

Microsoft probably is including Java again at this point, but not because of legal action, I expect.

Isn't it far more likely that Microsoft made this decision from its legendary kindness toward defeated competitors like Sun and Novell and even Apple?
