- CIO don't need to
- What they need to be able to do is manage those that do 'GET' technology. Then they should be able to direct those people in the direction that heads towards the vision the CIO demands. This is not an issue of how do you get there, that's for the people do 'GET' Technology. The CIO's purpose is to set the destination then let those who 'GET' technology figure how to get then. After that the CIO justifies the cost to get to the destination and keeps the money flowing to the right managers below him. That CIO doesn't need to 'GET' Technology.
