do bullies, fanatics, and crackpots simply have an image problem?
Interesting that today we never call evil what it really is. The Russians still have what is (by all reasonable standards) a despotic and dictatorial political system that does not value the rule of law or human rights, especially when not "convenient" for those in power. Muslim countries that are currently sponsoring terrorisn at home and abroad have a similar problem on a grander scale.

Trouble is we have now reduced dealing with such evil to a public relations problem. This only postpones the day of reconing. And there WILL be one. The politically correct among us will undoubtedly be the first of many casualties as a reward for their "understanding" and willingness to make compromises with all manner of crackpot religious and political systems in the name of "diversity." Systems that have but one goal: the destruction of all who think and believe rationally. (This destruction is critical as tolerance would only hasten the day when the unreasoned intellectual fantasy upon which the despotic system rests is exposed for all to see.)

In brief, Russia today is just one large and unfortunate outpost of rot and corruption that has much more than an image problem to deal with.

For our own sanity and survival we should at least acknowledge this rot and corruption as "square one" before moving on to anything else.
