Sorry but you are wrong.

One of my clients tried a joint venture in Russia and I had the umm, "pleasure" of visiting for two very, very long weeks. Every "oficial" I came into contact with had his hand out looking for a bribe. The Mafia wasn't so nice as to simply stick their hands out, they made it clear that if we were going to do business in Russia then we needed "protection" for the facilities and employees. Then just to make it more "fun" every little "official" (at least they thought they were an official) seemed to think he was ruler of the world and everyone needed to get his blessing to breath.

As I said, anyone trying to do real business in Russia will regret it. Heck, even the professional Russians that speak another language (English) get out and do not go back.
