Sad Stuff...
Massachusetts has always been one of the centers of technical innovation, along with other academic centers. Unfortunately as a MA resident I also realize that we have the biggest group of pinheads in the state legislature, not to mention that like most politicians, they are for sale and can be bought.

Cambridge may be a home of open source and GPL, but as a state we still elect pinheads. The bond issue didn't make the newspapers, in fact I heard about the ODF standards through yahoo news, not from any local newspaper.

The problem is that most politicians can't see beyond the next election, never mind removing the incumbent operating system.
