And that is exactly what these "executives" interviewed are doing. Surely they should have had some role in hiring these staff with "lacking skills"? Or were they out playing golf that day?
As another poster has commented, Scott Adams is spot on. I have personally experienced many "Dilbert like" situations in my time working within the different facets of IT. When I read some of the cartoons I could swear that Adams had a hidden camera in my workplace.
Moving up the ladder has been fun with many amusing and interesting experiences. These days when I draw up the a profile of what I require from an employee for one of the projects, I make sure that it is thorough enough to find the exact person I am looking for with the skills that I need.
